At RISD, there's a Visual and Material Resource Center where I researched through files containing close-up photography and information of a variety of insects. There is also a Nature Lab where I borrowed insect specimens to closely examine. After browsing through these collections, I ideated different designs for a firefly, scorpion, and spider along with other specimen that I studied.
